Master bath progress report

Still determined to get this done already, we are continuing work on our master cave/bathroom. This is the "before"--or about 5 steps past a real before, but as close as I have to a beginning shot.
Or, how about this shot of our master bedroom, in all its glory, which shows the paint color and generally cheeriness of the master suite.
Since the first photo, we started to paint the walls (but had a hard time reaching the edges of the 12-ft wall, so painting stalled for a while),
painted the cabinets a nice chocolate brown,
removed the tile surrounding the tub (and the drywall with it, since the builders apparently glued the tile to the wall with construction adhesive),
re-tiled with pretty glass and limestone tile, followed by extensive grout, caulk, and clean-up,
and replaced the baseboards with pretty white trim.

We're down to the details--a few more trim details, plus caulking EVERYTHING (not my favorite thing, but it makes the trim look nice and finished), adding a wax finish to the cabinets, plus the pretty hardware, another coat of paint, replacing the threshold (Christian made a custom one, but we can't find it anymore!), replacing both light fixtures over the mirror...and then, done or not, we'll probably take a break. We'd love to replace the sink and countertop and add trim to the mirror, but those things will probably wait awhile since they aren't really necessary. I'm excited to show you the finished product--and I'm excited to HAVE a finished product!

I'm seriously impressed by your diy spirit. I think I would have been conquered my the project about ten steps ago! You guys are awesome and I can't wait to see the finished product :)

I love the paint color of the bathroom, the color you painted the cabinets, and the beautiful tiles. Good work! PS I think caulking is really fun.
